In 1975 the South Vietnamese government collapsed and the communists took over the entire country. As the communists were overrunning the capitol city of Saigon, thousands of South Vietnamese attempted to flee the country on American military aircraft. One iconic photo from that event was of an Air America (CIA) UH-1 Huey helicopter landing on the top of the US Embassy with hundreds of Vietnamese trying to get onboard. It reminded me of how many people wanted City of Phoenix jobs at the end of the 2008 financial crisis.
