The Douglas DC-3 is the most iconic aircraft in the history of the USA. The DC-3 first flew in 1935. More than 16K versions of this plane have been built since then. It is estimated that 150 are still flying today. This airplane was the first airliner that I ever rode in when I was five years old. The DC-3 in this drawing was at an airshow at the Mesa Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ.
