Officer Tom Tardy was tough on supervisors throughout his police career. He was typically smarter than most of his supervisors and he has little, or no, filter when he talks. God have mercy on the soul of the sergeant or lieutenant who gave Tom a non-sensical order. After Tom retried from the police department he worked for a time doing cyber security for a local bank. During that time I got to know his boss, Brandon. Brandon was a good soul…easy going and a nice guy. But, Brandon was not prepared for the whirlwind of supervising Tom Tardy. I jokingly invited Brandon to attend the Supervisors of Tom Tardy Trauma Support Group.
