For the Phoenix Police Department, a Class B uniform is a button-up uniform shirt with a tie and hat. Until the 1980s, the Class B style uniform was the daily uniform of officers across the country. But these days in Phoenix, Class B uniforms are typically worn only at formal events such as award ceremonies or funerals. About ten years ago, there were a group of officers in the South Mountain Precinct who wanted to return to their historical roots by wearing full Class B uniforms while they were on patrol and they mandated the every officer in the precinct wear the uniform on Wednesdays. They had no authority to mandate this requirement, but they did it anyway. The rest of the police department looked on at their antics with amusement. I drew this to make fun of them.
