For short flights I am not opposed to taking discount airlines. On a recent flight from Phoenix to Denver I came face-to-face with my deepest fears about the horror stories I have heard about such airlines. The nightmare started at the gate. A flight attendant got into a rip-roaring argument with a passenger, who was then allowed to stay on the flight. After taking in that uncomfortable situation, I began looking around at my fellow passengers. I literally saw every person I have drawn in this cartoon. A mohawked amputee…a guy with a braided soul patch wearing a top hat…a passenger who had a pig face mask…and many LARGE women trying to maneuver their way down the narrow aisle. It was a little scary.
