One summer morning I got a call from a DEA contact wanting assistance with a large search warrant site. There had been many undocumented persons caught up in the search warrant and because it was a hot day, the DEA was requesting an airconditioned city bus at the scene to let the detainees stay cool before they were taken away. I ordered up the bus and went to the scene to check on things. When I arrived I told the bus driver that he was not to take the detainees anywhere, just keep the engine running and the air conditioner on. When I checked back in a little while, the bus and the detainees were gone!!! A DEA agent had asked the driver to take the detainees to an ICE facility. Nothing angers our liberal city leadership like city assets assisting ICE in deporting illegals. Thank you, DEA for running us over with the bus…
