Lieutenant Gregg Westover was one of the best bosses I ever had. He had such a good reputation that the commanders from other units in the PPD regularly tried to steal him from the Homeland Defense Bureau. I watched these efforts with trepidation as I did not want him to leave my unit. Finally, the commander of the Airport Bureau successfully enticed Gregg to leave our unit. Gregg knows the Bible, so I knew he would understand the humor of being tempted…like Eve was tempted in the Garden of Eden. We often joked about this afterwards…”The forbidden fruit looks sooo wonderful!!!”
NOTE: Gregg was eventually recruited by another police department. He is now the police chief of that department.
