Detective John McTernhan (Retired) loved guns, good food and conspiracy theories…which he would mumble about to us occasionally. I always thought that the combination of those three things would make the framework of an interesting cult religion. He’s be the perfect leader of the cult.
In the summer of 2026 we learned that John had passed away from a sudden illness. John spent much of his career as a motorcycle officer. Then, later he came to the Liquor/VICE Detail where he spent the rest of his career. He found his niche there. He was in an undercover position so he let his hair and beard grow. Out on the streets, no one would suspect that John he was a police officer. R.I.P. John.
