Swedish Christmas God

This is an early cartoon that I drew for my own squad. I was a member of the 82B patrol squad for two years between 199-1999. Kelly Frizell was our fantastic sergeant. (Sadly, Kelly passed away in 2022.) Our squad was very close. We all had young families and we spent a lot of quality time together with our wives and kids. For Christmas 1999 we gathered for a party/dinner at one of squad members’ houses. They had a light hanging over their kitchen table…it looked like a group of candles in a circle. I moved the table and put the hanging light on my head like a crown. Then I said I was the Spirit of Swedish Christmas. (Alcohol consumption may have had something to do with it…) We had so much afterwards joking about the Spirit of Swedish Christmas. It became synonymous with drunken debauchery. Just recently we all got together and we began joking about the Spirit of Swedish Christmas. Great memories.
