Annual firearms qualification (AQ) is a mandatory shooting test that all police officers go though. When I was a younger officer I didn’t have any problems with AQ. I never stressed or worried about it. But, I know others did.
Fast forward to the end of my career, it was another story. I dreaded AQ. My eyesight wasn’t very good. My hands weren’t as steady. It all added up to not shooting so well.
I drew this cartoon to applaud the patience of the officers on the Firearms Unit who put older officers through AQ.
